Electricians Competitor Landscape: IRVINE, CA

“Do not hire this company. I have been waiting for them to fix a fan in my house and have been waiting for 3 months. Every week they come up with a new excuse as to why they cannot fix it or they lie and say their technician got into an accident and cannot come. A guy named Luciano came to my house in August. Said I needed a new motor AND they needed to cut the dry wall. He then said the fan was under warranty (it was not) and told American Home Shield to deny the claim. American Home Shield said the technician told them it was covered and for them to deny my claim. After several back and forth conversations with American Home Shield and the manufacturer they approved the order to fix it because it wasn't covered by the manufacturer. So much time was wasted because I had already told Luciano it wasn't covered, but he was so lazy he didn't want to do any work he thought it was a better option to just get out of fixing my fan. After 3 months they send a new guy to fix the fan with a new motor. He then said the warranty company had not approved him cutting the dry wall and another approval was needed. I told him that Luciano had already told me the dry wall needed to be cut. He said it wasn't submitted in the initial report so the warranty company needs to approve it. The original technician Luciano was so fixated on getting the claim denied so he wouldn't have to do any work he kept the dry wall part out of the paperwork. Now I have to wait again for the warranty company to approve a repair. DO NOT HIRE this company. I believe they just want to get paid by the home warranty company without doing any actual work.”

“I called this company when a few outlets in my house suddenly stopped working. The person who answered the phone told me they can send an electrician right away and it would cost $60 for an electrician to come in. Everything up to here was fine but the electrician this company sent was not helpful or courteous. His attitude was not professional and without figuring out what the main problem was he said it would cost $250 to replace an outlet. When I asked him if that was the issue, he said he doesn’t know until he starts fixing. I felt uncomfortable letting him start when he hasn’t given me an accurate diagnosis. So I asked him it could be more than $250 and what happens if that’s not the issue. He says that’s why I’m giving you a minimum only. He kept asking if the price is what I don’t like and went on to explain why he can’t just be paid $60. I told him the money is not the concern but that he needs to let us know what the issue is and not just say it could be this or it could be that. At that point, I told him we’ll just end it at $60 and he was still going about fixing the problem etc. He says that he had other customers who complained about this way of estimating so I’m here think why don’t you not communicate this way then. I don’t recommend this company at all! UPDATE: I called for another electrician and turns out the problem was super simple and didn’t involve the need to change any outlets at all. It just needed to reset the circuit breaker. Case in point, don’t use this company if you want fair priced work!”

“I would not recommend this company. They wanted to charge me triple from every other Electrician company. I spoke with just for a simple thermostat replacement. Price gouging for sure.”
