Accurate Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air(1/5)

The lady on the phone said $56 for a visit to figure out why our circuit wasn't working. Gave me a whole speech about how they are all verified and background checked when I asked about prices. Should have known. Man came and told me it's going to be $400+ for diagnosis. Wasted both our time and I cancelled another appointment to try these guys out. Man who came was very nice and apologetic but make sure you double check prices before you book. *Update* I got the work done by another guy a couple hours later who charged me a total of $75.

Absolute incompetence. After a power surge knocked out a circuit in our house, our home warranty company sent City First to handle the issue. The tech did zero diagnosis - he just spent about 10 minutes confirming that the circuit was dead and that there were no breakers tripped at the panel. He talked about the possibility of having to open walls. City First then sent an estimate of $900 to fix the issue! Based on what? Because wire tracing is excluded from the home warranty we would have been stuck with the bill. Instead, I bought my own tracer unit from Fluke Networks and traced the issue to a tripped GFI outlet. All it took was resetting the GFI! Watch your wallet with these guys; the tech could have easily done this when he was on site and chose instead to try and make what he thought was an easy $900.

So Cal Pacific Electrical & Lighting(1/5)

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They did work for me and I paid them. They called and said they lost the check so I cut him another one and hey surprise he cashed both checks the same day. Called to have him give me back the money and he ignores my calls and emails the one time he did answer he told me a sob story about his business hurting due to covid (welcome to the rest of the world all our businesses are hurting because of it!) Crook!
